♻️ refactor(auth): streamline login process

- simplify login logic by removing unused code
- improve error handling and logging during login
- add retry mechanism for login attempts
🔧 chore(gitignore): update ignore file
- add .continue to .gitignore to prevent accidental commits of temporary files
